Get in2it with North Star buses and the Great Race
23rd, October 2009
Participants in the Great Race will make great use of North Star buses as they race their way around North Shore parks and beaches on 31 October.
North Star is providing competitors with free access to buses to complete the race.
The Great Race, a North Shore City Council youth initiative through in2it, starts outside the Takapuna Boat Club at 1pm on Saturday, 31 October.
Competitors, kids between the ages of 10 and 15 years and their families, will use North Star buses to make their way around the North Shore picking up clues and undertaking challenges at different locations.
In2it provides opportunities for North Shore kids to be physically active during their unstructured leisure time. All in2it activities have a music component and encourage young people to hang out with their mates at local parks, beaches, sporting facilities and other recreation spaces.
Team registrations start at 12.15pm and the race runs from 1pm until 4pm on Saturday, 31 October.
