Disruption to Valley Flyer bus services Tuesday, 7 July
June 26, 2009
Valley Flyer bus services will be disrupted on Tuesday 7 July from 9.00am to 12.00pm due to a stop work meeting for the Central Amalgamated Worker’s Union.
The following services will be affected during this time:
· R120 between Stokes Valley and Queensgate will run every 30 minutes instead of every 15 minutes
· R110 between Upper Hutt and Petone will run every 30 minutes instead of every 15 minutes
· R83 between Eastbourne and Wellington via Lower Hutt will run every 60 minutes instead of every 30 minutes
· R150 between Western Hills and Petone will run every 60 minutes instead of every 30 minutes
Full services will be available until 9.00am and resume at 12.00pm. The Airport Flyer and school bus services will not be affected.
NZ Bus General Manager of Operations, Zane Fulljames, says the disruption to services occurs just twice a year to allow a scheduled union meeting for staff who are represented by the Central Amalgamated Worker’s Union.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this causes our customers and hope that with this advance notice, they can plan their day’s activities accordingly.”
GO Wellington, Runcimans, Mana and Newslands Coach services will not be affected and will operate as normal.
