Team North Star take on the World’s Greatest Team Challenge
April 4, 2012
Team North Star recently took on The World’s Greatest Team Challenge” - The Oxfam Trailwalker in Taupo.
This annual event challenges teams to walk or run a 100km trail through some of central North Island’s most spectacular terrain to raise funds to support Oxfam’s life saving work throughout the Pacific and Southeast Asia.
The most challenging for team is to finish the course in under 36 hours and as the race is not a relay, team members must start and finish together.
The NZ Bus team was made up of supervisors and management who challenged themselves physically and mentally, finishing in a time of 19 hours 8 minutes, placing them 25th in a field of 250 team.
Amazing effort!
Team North Star took on this challenge to not only support Oxfam but to also promote healthy and fit lifestyles through the training and hard work that was put into the event.
Well Done Team!
