In Our Community

Public transport bus services are all about serving people in a community. They must be focused on the needs of that community and listening to their customers, while fitting into an overall network.

We want to build strong relationships with our local communities. One way we can do this is to support community projects and partner with community organisations that are making a difference.

The Green Paper for Vulnerable Children

Green Paper

The Green Paper for Vulnerable Children was launched by the Government in July 2011. The Government wants to hear what New Zealanders think about the ideas that are in the Green Paper before it makes its decisions.

The Government wants to make sure that those people who may not usually participate – parents, carers, young people, children and harder to reach families and communities – are encouraged and supported to take part in this discussion.

A wide range of groups and organisations are being asked to do whatever they think is appropriate to let people know about the Green Paper and to encourage all New Zealanders to have their say.

We encourage you to have your say and support others to have their say too.

The transforming bus, as it is affectionately known as for its changing colour paintwork represents the transformation and rebirth of someone can experience as a recipient of reconstructive surgery. The Institute is based at the Hutt Valley Hospital and Valley Flyer is delighted to be associated with this worthy organisation.
